CAR KEYED IN PARKING LOT

A car that had already drawn a hostile note was keyed in the back and side the very next morning.
The trouble started on Tuesday, 12/02, when the poster found a note on their car in an apartment complex parking lot. They later shared pictures of the car because, as they put it, "people kept asking if it was a POS lol." But the bigger question was simpler: why was anyone targeting it at all?
The parking situation, the poster stressed, was ordinary. It was "unassigned parking in an apartment complex." They said they had parked in the same spot maybe two days in a row, then stopped and parked elsewhere in the same lot all week. They were careful to add a line in all caps for the people ready to jump to conclusions: "Before anyone says I'm parking in someone's street infront of their house, I'm NOT."
For a while, nothing else happened. Then the poster left home for 24 hours to visit family. When they returned, there was no fresh damage waiting in the lot. The car looked fine. For a brief moment, that seemed like the end of it.
It wasn't.
The next morning, the poster woke up and found the car keyed in the back and side.
That was the part they kept coming back to: "Literally don't know what to do, I wasn't parked in the same spot!" They said there were no cameras anywhere in the lot, and their own door didn't face the parking area, so they couldn't set up a camera there themselves. With no footage and no obvious explanation, the poster said they believed the person behind the note had turned their attention directly to the car.
"They specifically have an issue with my car," they wrote.
Now they're getting a dash cam today, hoping it can catch whatever happens next. The poster said it had been "a quiet few days before this," which only made the note and the keyed paint stand out more sharply. For now, they said they'd update if they managed to get footage.
