BACK TO COLLEGE CHOICES
A college forum prompt asks people what major they'd choose if they could start over, and how they'd map a lucrative path after graduation.
Would you pick passion or paycheck?

If someone were 18 again, what major would they pick, and what would they do afterward to land a well-paying career?
That is the question a poster dropped into a college forum, laying out a small but loaded hypothetical: go back to the start, choose a major, then figure out the road after graduation. The post did not come with a backstory, a complaint, or a confession. It was just a direct challenge to strangers with hindsight.
The title set the tone first: if a person could do college over, what would they study? The second half sharpened it. It was not only about picking classes or chasing an interest. It was about the part that comes after the diploma, the practical climb toward a job that pays well.
In the body, the poster kept it broad and simple, framing the whole thing as curiosity rather than advice-seeking or debate bait. There were no parameters, no hidden catch, and no example path to react to. Just a wide-open ask aimed at people who might answer with regret, strategy, ambition, or all three.
The only line that gave the post a personal edge was the poster's own explanation: "Just curious what people would do if they had to do it all over again."
That was the entire setup. A hypothetical rewind, a major to choose, and a career to build from it. The post left the rest to the people who would eventually fill in their own answers.
