CAT'S STEADY STARE

She'll sit there and stare for five straight minutes, and the only thing changing is whatever the human is trying to do about it.

For the poster, this cat is no mystery in every other sense. She's the first cat in the house, and the affection is obvious from the way they describe her: "she's my first cat and i adore her!" Not just tolerated. Adored. "she's so snuggly and silly and lovey." A cat built for attention, lap time, and soft chaos.

But then comes the stare.

According to the poster, the cat will plant herself nearby and lock on, eyes fixed, for about five minutes at a time. No flinching, no wandering off, just a long, steady watch that turns ordinary chores into a tiny performance.

That's where the question starts to sharpen: what is the cat actually doing with all that staring? The poster floats one theory first.
