A gym flirtation turned into a texting limbo when a 19-year-old asked a girl out and got back, "I might. I loved talking to you."

It started in the middle of a workout. According to the poster, a girl walked up at the gym, told him he was cute, and asked for his socials. They started talking and kept it going for a couple of hours before both left.

Afterward, he texted her. She responded by sending pictures and videos, and the conversation seemed to keep moving. Encouraged, he made his move and asked, "let me take you out?"

Her answer was not a no, but it was not exactly a yes either: "I might. I loved talking to you."

That hesitation landed harder because it wasn't the first time. The poster says this girl had approached him once before, and when he asked if she wanted to hang out, she replied, "idk."

Now he's stuck on the pattern. One meeting at the gym turned into a couple of hours of talking, then more messages, then photos and videos, then a date ask, then another soft maybe. He's wondering if that means interest is real but slow, or if the whole thing is just leading nowhere.

In his own words, he asks whether he should "surely never respond again right?" and whether she's "tryna play games."

For him, the question is simple: is this a start, or a stall?
