THE CAT WAS LEFT OUTSIDE IN A STORM,

The cat was left outside in a storm, shaking and wet, after her neighbors dumped her, and when she spotted the one person trying to help, she walked straight into an apartment and never left.

"I've been wanting to adopt but it looks like she adopted me 😂," the poster wrote, after a neighbor's cat kept turning up in their orbit instead of at home.

According to the story, the neighbors abandoned the cat, and the poster spent a long stretch trying to do the right thing. They made "many attempts to bring her back to them," sending the cat back to the people who were supposed to be caring for her.

At first, the neighbors took her in again. But the next day, the cat was back outside. This time, she was left out "in a storm no less."

That was the moment the situation turned from concerning to impossible to ignore. The poster described the cat as "the poor baby" and said she was "shaking and wet" when they saw her.

Then came the part that changed everything.

The cat saw the poster and headed straight over. "She immediately came over to me," the poster said, and then "just walked right into my apartment."

From that point on, the cat was home. "Has been there since 😂," the poster added.

The final twist came later, when the neighbors finally explained why the cat had been left behind in the first place. They admitted they had dumped her because of financial issues. After that, they gave the cat to the poster.

So what started as a neighbor's abandoned pet became a reluctant rescue, then a permanent move-in. The cat kept choosing the same apartment over and over, until the people next door made it official and "they gave her to me."
