The worst had happened in a Vegas hotel room the groom wasn't even in.

His fiancée was home, supposedly waiting out his bachelor party while he was in Las Vegas for "maybe 30 something hours," but something felt off. She looked through his things while he was away, following a bad feeling straight into his Apple Watch messages. There, she found him chatting with two unsaved numbers. She reverse-searched them and traced both to women.

Then she kept digging.

She logged into Snapchat with what she called his "too easy" password and found a second DM under her own name. It had been sent by a woman he had just added yesterday, the same day he got into Vegas.

"The second dm under my name is a woman, a woman he just added yesterday!" she wrote.

What she saw in that conversation pushed the whole thing into collapse. "The conversation goes beyond friendliness and at the end there are some nice provocative photos shared."

She called him immediately, and the phone call did not go well for him. "He didnt stand a chance on the phone." When she confronted him, he first tried to lie. Then, after she kept pressing, "he fessed up."

From there, the night became a blur of panic and scrolling and trying to piece together exactly what had happened. She wrote that her heart was shattered, that she felt scattered and in shock, and that they were supposed to be married in "1 month and 7 days from today.."

Later updates showed him coming back, apologizing, and admitting he knew he had messed up. He also told her she would not forgive him. She tried to get closure, but he said he did not know why he did it and would regret it for the rest of his life.

At one point, she said she set her ring down and told him, "I told him I had never loved someone as much as I loved him." Then she walked out.

The final update was just as raw: "I'm leaving." She said she was physically sick, blocked his buddies and his mother, and waited for her ride with a U-Haul. In the middle of it, she wrote, "Thanos snapped his fingers and its all gone. Poof."

What came next was a mix of disbelief and grief. "It sucks." "This hurts." "holy fuck this shit was not on my bingo card." Still, she ended on the note that one day she would look back and thank her lucky stars that everything happens for a reason.
