THE NOISY NEIGHBOR

A new neighbor turned a quiet townhouse row into a police-paper trail, by the time it was over, there had been nine calls, a screen door on camera, and threats shouted through the dark.

For two years, the poster and their boyfriend had lived in a townhouse where each unit had its own porch and entrance. The neighbors were friendly. Then, about three months ago, a new woman moved in and started acting strangely almost immediately. She wandered around the complex, picked branches off trees, and sat in the parking lot for no clear reason.

Then the behavior sharpened.

At night, she was seen looking in their windows with a flashlight. She picked up their trash can, smeared the contents on their doorstep, and opened their screen door on the ring camera. She screamed profanities at police officers. She threatened them. She slapped the boyfriend. She yelled at the landlord. She waited for the poster in the parking lot and banged on the car window. She came onto their property multiple times and yelled directly at the ring camera.

One of the threats caught in the updates was blunt and ugly: "come outside you little b-" and "i'm gonna get you mf." Another line from the poster summed up the panic in the middle of all of it: "i'm so scared."

The poster said they filed police report after police report and saved every bit of video footage from the camera. Police, they said, told them they had dealt with the woman at other apartments before. An eviction was started.

As the reports stacked up, the situation kept moving toward court. In later updates, the poster said the neighbor was gone. They also described an upcoming court date and said police and a detective believed there was enough evidence to proceed. "we have more than enough evidence to go through with the criminal charges," the poster wrote.

The updates did not stop there. The poster said the neighbor had been going around trying to gather "evidence" for her side, including pointing to damage to the screen door and broken blinds from a window AC that had been approved by the landlord.

Then came the follow-up that changed the tone of the whole story: "LAST UPDATE: she's gone guys!!!"

In another post, the poster wrote, "ANOTHER UPDATE: i'll answer a lot in here lol," and added, "next update will be if/when action is taken!" For now, the evidence was sitting in camera clips, police reports, and whatever a court decides to do next.
