The wedding photos started with a white, short dress and ended with the mother-in-law telling the bride to get out of the frame.
At first, the setup looked normal enough. The couple stood with their parents for the opening shot, "First pic is our parents together, with us," the poster later wrote. But the mother-in-law had other plans for the rest of the camera roll.
She wore white to the wedding. Not just white, but a short white dress, which already made her hard to miss. Then came the photo session. She wanted to be next to the poster's husband for every picture, and when she shifted sides, she did something even stranger: she left her own husband behind and posed with the poster's mom instead.
The photographer was still adjusting angles when the mother-in-law started making requests. According to the poster, she repeatedly asked for shots without the poster in them. Her reason was as blunt as it was awkward, she said it was "in case things didn't work out."
Then came the moment that still sticks. For the second photo, she told the poster to "get out of the frame for the 2nd pic."
It didn't stop there. The mother-in-law kept pulling the photographer aside for what the poster described as a family-only shoot. That part dragged on for about 10 minutes, turning a wedding photo session into something much more personal and much more uncomfortable.
The poster said the whole thing was humiliating. "It was so embarrassing for my soul," they wrote.
And the part that made the story linger wasn't just what happened that day, it was how long it stayed with them. The post ended with a blunt update from 15 years later: "15 yrs later she's still a butthole."
