The wedding cake was already wrong when it came out of the bakery: the blue was "sooo off."
The couple had ordered a cake in "a shade of dusty blue" and sent two reference photos to make the color clear. But when they picked it up on the wedding day, the cake did not match what they had asked for. The poster said the color was so far off that their sister had to save the day at the last minute.
According to the poster, the sister stepped in and "did an AMAZING job!" fixing the cake before the celebration. The wedding went on, but the cake problem did not end there.
After the event, the bakery refused to issue a refund.
That led to a phone call the poster described as frustrating from the start. "The lady on the phone was so rude and condescending," they wrote. Instead of agreeing that the cake had been the wrong color, the bakery pushed back and told the couple to prove it.
The request was specific: take photos of the cake next to the wedding decor so they could make sure "it ACTUALLY didn't match."
So the poster did exactly that. They took comparison pictures, laying out the cake against the wedding decorations to show the mismatch. They also made one more detail clear in their post: the first two photos were the reference photos they had originally sent to the bakery.
That left the rest of the comparison for viewers to sort through. The poster pointed out that readers could guess which later photo showed the bakery's original version and which one showed the cake after the sister fixed it.
The dispute centered on one thing from the start: a wedding cake ordered in dusty blue, delivered in the wrong shade, and then disputed after the fact when the bakery refused to refund it.
