My friend is a wedding photographer, and somehow everyone thinks that's cute. That's how the story starts, simple, almost offhand, before the tone turns hard. The poster doesn't share the enthusiasm. They say it plainly: "I think it's gross." The friend's job is the kind of detail that usually lands as charming in conversation. Wedding photographer.
